“Cracked Clay Series”
(12 total photographs)

16”X16”

2020

While throwing on the pottery wheel, I noticed patterns of cracking clay left behind on the bats I used to aide in drying. Different clay bodies produced different tones that became reminiscent of skin, of what it means to live and die, of what it means to be human. I began to think about throwing as a method of creating these patterns.  This series of photographs is the result.
